Introduction of Dr. Prof. Dongyan
Wang
Wang
Dongyang, male, born in June 1964, agr. PHD, senior researcher, tutor
of doctorand, started his work in 1983 and now is a deputy director of
the Institute of Agricultural Economics, Chinese Academy of
Agricultural Sciences.
In
1997 he was awarded Century Subject Pioneer in the first group and the
best ten Young People for the second time by Chinese Academy of
Agricultural Sciences. In 1999 he got the title of “Civilization
Worker” in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
As
one of subeditors of the literature “Theories, Ways and Modes of
Agricultural Modernization in China”, he was awarded the 3. National
Books Prize. As one participant working at the report “Suggestion
about Listing the Agricultural Comprehensive Development of the
‘Golden Triangle” of South-West Resources within the 9.5 National
Plan”, he got the fist class “Prize of the 3. Excellent
Suggestion” from Chinese Scientific and Technological Association.
As one participant working at the report “Suggestion about Speedup
of the Agricultural Comprehensive Development in West-River in Gansu
Province”, he got the second class “Prize of the 3. Excellent
Suggestion” from Chinese Scientific and Technological Association.
He participated the “Research on the Process of Increasing
Production of Fine Crop Varieties” arranged by the Ministry of
Science and Technology and got the third class “Prize of Scientific
and Technological Development” from the Ministry of Science and
Technology in 1998 and the first class “Prize of Scientific and
Technological Achievements” from Chinese Academy of Sciences in
2000.
He
has worked for national leaders, the Ministry of Science and
Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Chinese Engineering
Academy for the drafting of 47 reports, such as “Issues about New
Agricultural Scientific and Technological Revolution”, “Conspectus
on Agricultural Practice in China”, “Compendium of Scientific and
Technological Development of National Agriculture” and “China
Agenda in the 21st Century----Agricultural Agenda” and
has published 60 papers and 4 monographs.
He
has took charge of and finished many research tasks, such as
“Theories of Agricultural Span Development in the Area of Minority
and Cases Study in Panxi” (a project of Youth Fund of Chinese
Natural Sciences Fund), the theory part of “Theories, Ways and Modes
of Agricultural Modernization in China” (a key project of Chinese
Natural Sciences Fund), “Research on the Process of Increasing
Production of Fine Crop Varieties” (a project of the Ministry of
Science and Technology) and “Comprehensive Research on Strategies of
Rural Development in China and the Scientific and Technological
Countermeasures” (a project of the Ministry of Science and
Technology).
Since
1998 he has took charge of following research tasks arranged by the
Ministry of Science and Technology: “Research on Agricultural
Sustainable Development in China”, “Research on New Revolution of
Agricultural Science and Technology”, “Information Management
System of Rural and Social Development” (project of S.T. Basic Works
of Central Research Institutions), “Information Database of Rural
Extending of Science and Technology” (project of S.T. Basic Works of
Central Research Institutions) and “Analysis of and Research on
Agricultural Comprehensive Production Capacity in China” (project of
Social Commonweal Works of Central Research Institutions). Meanwhile
he has took charge of following research tasks arranged by the
Ministry of agriculture: “Research on Environment Constructing in 4
Largest Weak Ecotype Areas in China”, “Research on Adjustment and
Optimizing of Agricultural and Rural Industrial Structure in Various
Areas in China” and so on.
